If it's really true that Christ actually indwells us like a river of living water, then why do we sometimes feel thirsty? Is there something we can do to release the flow of his river within us?

We go back to the story of the Samaritan woman at the well and pick up at John 4:20-24. Jesus addresses the question she had about the location of God and the proper place of worship. His answer challenges our concepts of religion. What did Jesus tell her?
Jesus said in John 7:38 that rivers shall flow out of our innermost being "as the scripture says." What does the scripture have to say about this?
In the fourth chapter of the Gospel of John, the Samaritan woman finds Jesus waiting for her at Jacob's well. But's that's not the only surprise awaiting her. Jesus reveals to her one of the greatest truths and realities of the good news. What is it?
Jesus holds the key to our human existence and how to live life to the full. In John 6:35, he makes a radical statement about how to be totally satisfied. What was it he was trying to tell us?
The Blackfoot River east of Missoula is quickly becoming one of my favorite "fishing holes," and the valley and surrounding mountains through which it runs is so beautiful. In this video clip, you'll get a feel for what it's like to fly fish this river.
A beautiful sunset is worth MORE than a 1000 words. Sometimes being still and silent is the road to understanding...
The apostle writes in 14:1-3 that Jesus said he was going to prepare a place for us and that he would come again and receive us to himself. Go where and come back when!?
John wants us his readers to see something that he discovered decades after he walked with Jesus for three years. He connects some of Jesus' most profound sayings with the very first question he raises in chapter one of his gospel.
John raises the most compelling and ultimate question in the first chapter of his gospel, a question he tries to answer and unveil to us throughout the entire book.
This is my pilot episode of "Views From The Road." It's the first in a series of videos that examines the underlying and central message in the Gospel of John. I believe the apostle unveils to his readers the identity of Jesus by answering several key questions that he raises and addresses through the entirety of his gospel (and continued in his epistles and revelation).
The purpose behind "Views From The Road" is to create a growing video library of my personal reflections and "messages" that emerge from my study and experiences along the road. Some segments will be more personal and philosophical in nature, while others more biblical teaching oriented. My goal is to record as many segments as I can in outdoor settings. I'll be interested in your feedback, questions, and suggestions. If you find the video clips helpful, interesting, or inspiring, please spread the word to your family and friends.
